Hi, I’m Caroline Patton, the creator and owner of Chicago Show Calendar. I started the calendar as a way to find new shows after venues started opening back up post-COVID-19 quarantine. I had lost my job in the music industry in summer 2020 during the shutdown, and I wanted a way to reconnect to the industry in my own way. Fast-forward to fall 2021 when shows started getting announced and venues were opening back up to vaccinated patrons, I build the calendar as a need for a central resource to see what places I could safely visit. Now with over 10,000+ followers to the original Instagram, Chicago Show Calendar has grown into a resource for Chicagoans trying to stay connected to the best place in the world to see live music.
